Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx is not just a successful musician, but he is also a talented photographer whose images I must say I am very impressed by.
Whether it's capturing a moment in his whirlwind existence or creating a scene - his images are touching, vibrant and engaging. I find myself enthralled in the stories he tells us through the lens.
For an ex-heroin addict who has stared death in the face from a fatal overdose (yes, he died for two minutes - and came back to life...wrap your head around that one), and to come out the other end positively as a true and honest artist across many genres, gains my respect.
I put it to you to look upon his tumblr page and see for yourself - you'll be surprised that he isnt just a badass rocker with a pretty face afterall.
The tagline says it all:
"I'm a Recovering addict.Camera's are my new drug."
And I'm for one certainly glad he's hooked on this instead.
